~ Radicle Reciprocity ~
As human forms of stardust, we embody the cosmos.
The cycles and spirals within us mirror those of Mother Earth.
Our healing unfolds hand-in-hand with hers.
As an ecological artist,
I illuminate (extra)ordinary natural wonders through fluid roles:
Choreographer of contemplative pathways,
Composter of overripe paradigms,
Curator of ecosensory creativity.
In the spirit of collaboration,
I invite you to follow your curiosity,
exploring this space at your own pace.
If inspiration arises,
embrace its energy,
shape it in community,
and share it with the trees.
On our beloved blue-green planet,
all living beings
and representations of our imaginations
are expressions of elemental artistry.
Through illustrating our relationality,
we seed radicle reciprocity.
Creating ecological art infuses me with meaningful energy, so reciprocity guides my approach to botanical collaborations. The cycles, stories, and sensory qualities of plants fill me with wonder. I feel especially connected to the translucent radicles that reach beneath the surface of the Earth. These steadying embryonic roots attune to their seeds, the setting, and something beyond. Although they often go unnoticed, their absorption of water and nutrients makes future stems, leaves, and flowers possible. With reverence, I care for these plants, their homelands, and their cultural ecosystems. To support their natural habitats and original human caretakers, I dedicate part of all visual art proceeds to the sister organizations of Sierra Seeds and the Indigenous Seedkeeper’s Network.
If any of the following tea paintings or herbal assemblages call you, they can be integrated into your environment. Each image comes from an ephemeral exploration of time, scale, and biome, and can be displayed on its own or alongside others. Using ethical methods and sustainable materials, these pieces can be printed in a variety of sizes, combined with poetry, and/or delivered as gifts.
